Automatic Diesel Exhaust Filtration.
NO SMOKE 2 is designed for 2007 and newer diesel apparatus with modern emissions systems, helping protect crews during cold starts, low idle, station operation, and on-scene use.
NO SMOKE 2 Works With Vehicles Equipped With an ATD.
The NO SMOKE 2 diesel filtration system differs from the original NO SMOKE system because it does not require diverter box technology. The system is constantly filtering harmful exhaust from the environment inside the fire station during cold starts and while low idling on scene.
NO SMOKE 2 is installed in the tailpipe before the tip and well after the After Treatment Device. The system does not interfere with the ATD or diffuser tip, helping preserve the manufacturer’s warranty.
Automatic Filtration When Crews Need It Most.
NO SMOKE 2 is built to provide exhaust filtration during the operating conditions when factory systems may not yet be actively oxidizing emissions.
Cold Starts
Helps filter exhaust during station start-up when exhaust temperatures are low and exposure can occur quickly around personnel and apparatus.
Low Idle
Supports cleaner air during low idle conditions when emergency vehicles are staged, moving slowly, or operating near crews.
On-Scene Use
Provides protection around emergency scenes where vehicles may remain running near firefighters, EMS crews, patients, and the public.
Built to Regenerate With the Vehicle’s ATD.
The filter is constructed with a flow-through substrate containing platinum, palladium, and other compounds that allow the system to regenerate when the manufacturer’s ATD regenerates.
This design helps reduce the need to change the filter while maintaining protection during the low-temperature exhaust periods where crews need additional support.
